A safe place in a changing and confusing world
House Churches offer a small, warm, and intimate setting where everyone hears the teaching of the Good News of Jesus and the hope of eternal-life in a relaxed, family type setting. Having had Church meetings in our home for over 3 years, so many had joined that it was becoming difficult to seat everyone comfortably and so we felt the Lord prompting us to seek a larger space and in December 2025 we were able to begin our Sunday meetings at Thurgarton Village Hall.
In the House Church model, each person is made to feel valued, loved and significant irrespective of their position and status in life and we wanted to be sure to maintain this as we moved to a larger public venue. The Church is the Body of Christ, and it is the people who make up the Church who are important and so Everyone is known by name and are not just visitors that we occasionally say hello to. Each individual has a key part to play in the Body of Christ.
We believe that the supernatural power of God can be experienced in our world today! Miracles, signs, and wonders are not just something relegated to the 1st century church, but the bible tells us to pursue spiritual gifts and that believers will have the God given ability to operate in the supernatural in our world today.
In an ever changing world which seems to have come adrift, we want to get back to the truth of the Bible, the very Word of God, and know Jesus the Messiah.

Where we began, as a single home group, to...

Where we meet now every Sunday
The heart of Ark Church is to see Christians grow in their faith in Jesus Christ, to be disciples rather than just converts, to be strengthened by the Word of God and walk in the power of the Holy Spirit.
We want to encourage believers as we draw ever closer to our Lord's return and stand on the teachings of the Bible.
